#2 Corvette C5-R wins!!!! I never thought they would win over all, but they did. Ron Fellows/Kelly Collins/Frank Freon/ Johnny O'Connel drove the #2 car all 24 hours to victory. There were no problems with the car, except for one spin and an overheated transmission. The car ran well throughout the race, moving up from 14th to sixth in just a few hours, then gaining places throughout the night. By morning, the #2 car was in third, with the #3 close behind in fifth(overall). Just after daybreak the second place Ferrari 333SP(SRP class) was out due to mechanical probs. Then, only two and a half hours before the end of the race, the leading #16 Deyson car(a Riley&Scott Ford) was put out of the race due to a hole in the engine block. This allowed the #2 to gain first and the #3 (Earnhardt Sr. and Jr/Andy Pilgrim/Chris Kneifel ) to move up to fourth. It stayed this way to the end.

Probably would of been closer of someone other than Chevy showed up!!!

I think ALMS is better than GrandAM!

You need really big bucks for ALMS, Grand AM's low budget approche is better for smaller teams who can't afford constant technology updates...

Go Ron Fellows....

Porsche did pretty good 7 in the top 10 and all were private teams.

I agree with Rob, if there were some factory Vipers there, i dont think the Vette would have won. Last year the only reason they were so close was so the two vipers could finish right by each other and run the last lap together. They also had a cool add the week following the race.

well i would have to disagree with that, the corvette team would have won anyway, look at 2000 rolex and then think how much faster the corvette was this year.
