Re: Toyota MARK || JZX100 Vertex
I love the paint job on it man, looks great.
if you dont mind me asking, it looks like you outlined the door lines and such with black paint, correct? if so, how did you go about doint it? gives the model a REALLY realistic touch. i already deepened all the door lines and gas cap, ect, but i dont think it will have as drastic of an effect as this. looks great! |

Re: Toyota MARK || JZX100 Vertex
The whole car looks awesome, I think the Work Emotion wheels fit perfectly on it.
Are you going to give the grill a wash?

MidMazar, thanks.

But in this case i've decided to make extra hard wash, cause the model is covered with Kansai retan lacquer, wich is very hard and steady for different chemicals. So i didn't even thin the paint for wash with something, used it as it is in the bottle. Then removed remained parts of paint with Tamiya Acrylic thinner, without any influence to the lacquer. Here is one of previous work, Soarer vertex, washed with x-18 thinned with water (Don't mind about white parts of polishing compound, i didn't remove it yet). ![]() damned dust Will wash it with soap after finishing ![]() Quote:
, i've just fited it to see how it looks. thanks.

Re: Toyota MARK || JZX100 Vertex
I reakon paint the mirrors gloss black and they will look good. The bits on top of the headlights (if thats what you are refering to) are know as eyelids or headlight eyelids. Thats what they are called here in NZ anyway.

Re: Toyota MARK || JZX100 Vertex
Guys, i need some advice here... I've been waiting for foto etched seat belts, but the reality is that i do not have it yet, and i had to make it myself... I can't find good solution for attaching a simple civilian seat belts. Sorry for the dust and fingertips on the models, i do not have time to wash it... on the Candy soarer simple civilian belt looks fine, cause the door suppport (door stand) is quite wide, it also glued to the body. As for Mark 2, the door stand is very thin... and it doesn't look fine, while glued to the interrior. I think i should do seat belts more thin and attach them to he body, just like on Soarer.
Anyway: I need some photos of nice seatbelts solution. Can Anyone help? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
