96 olds cutlass supreme 3.1 wont start after replacing head gaskets. Help!

I just replaced the head gaskets and intake manifold gaskets and put everything back together and it just sound like the starter is turning the motor like there is no compression. There is spark though. Any thing i did wrong or what could i do to fix this? Thanks.

I hope you did not mix up the pushrods, that is one possibility!

Im almost 100 percent positive i didnt because i laid them all out just like they came off and put them back on in the same order. And if I did is there a way i can put them back in order?

First make sure you have compression, check the ft easy cylinders first, based on your description of the sound, if ok post back, if low/no compression, it is too late the valves are bent.

Thank you for your help. There was no compression but i kept on cranking it over and it eventually built up and the engine fired up and its running very smoothly. Job well done.
