Replacing Power Door Actuator
99 Ford Taurus SE
Trying to replace both of the front actuators. My Chilton manual doesn't do a very good job of explaining the process. Looking at the replacements there is a clip that needs to be lifted while sliding the actuator out, but I can't figure out from where to slide in a screw driver to lift it up. Any tips? |

Re: Replacing Power Door Actuator
There are some drawings in the factory service manual that show where to place the screwdriver. If you'd like a copy, send me a private message with your e-mail address and I'll send a PDF of the steps your way.

Re: Replacing Power Door Actuator
Got them. Thank you. I was hoping to replace them without removing the entire mechanism. Doens't look like that's an option.
