Re: 92 blazer idles funny then dies
Hi, im having similar problems. only mine seems to be a bit worse. But i can tell you that after alot of screwing around with my 90 s10 blazer, that sounds like the MAP sensor. I disconnected mine while trying to troubleshoot my problems and it idled fine, but as soon as i put it in gear it would die if i didnt get on the gas fast enough.
mine will idle up and down erratically like you are describing too. only i havent found the definite problem yet. Check your fault code for the MAP sensor. if thats it you cna get one at autozone for about 35 bucks. Let me know what you find. Maybe that will help me too. good luck |

Re: 92 blazer idles funny then dies
Thanks for replying after changing fuel filters injectors o2 sensors knock sensors egr valve egrvalve solonoid map sensor.... on and on i had no success then i unhooked my timing wire it is on the passenger side fire wall on mine its a single pin connector that is tan and black BINGO!!! i still dont know what the problem is but it runs really good now once i have a timing light i will check my timing and post my results hopefully it isnt my distributor failing. but a good place to look on yours sounds like it would be the idle air control sensor (iac sensor) heard theirs a way to check it but i just replaced mine instead. just in case.if your iac is good also try your tps sensor you can check that with an ohm meter good luck and again thanks for the reply
