I decided to use Seafoam....now what????

I have done all the research that I could, by going online, watching how others have done it, read the forum and went by word of mouth from the auto parts stores. The only thing that has me worried is that my '94 LeSabre is doing something that it hasn't done before.
Took 1/3 into the gas tank, oil, and vacuum hose. While I started the car, and took the vacuum hose off the booster, the car shut off. Everytime I started it up, it didn't hold and shut off. I asked my wife to sit in the driver seat and rev the engine, and it still shut off, so I asked her to keep her foot on the accelerator pedal and then poured it into the hose. This worked!! I revved the car after reconnecting the hose and it did a funny thing.....as I held constant pressure on the pedal, the car was revving as if I was taking my foot on and off. Barely any smoke came out of my exhaust, just a smidge of dirty smoke for a second, but none as you would see in all the videos. I decided to drive it around for about thirty or so minutes and drove to the nearest parts shop on the way home. I asked them about this issue, which only happened while the car is in park, and he said that unless a code comes up or the car is funny while you drive it, then take it in to get it checked out. I drove on the streets and highway anywhere from 25-30 and up to 70 mph on the highway. It had no issues in acceleration and was smooth the whole way. It even sounds quieter when it is running idle at the stoplights. Only when the car is in park and I apply consistent pressure all the way from the top to the floor with the accelerator pedal, does it rev this way. Has this happened to other people out there???? Should I be worried??? Does this mean the engine is rather clean as to why no smoke bellowed from the tailpipe??? Please, can anyone throw their two cents in to put my mind at ease????????

When I did get home from my drive, I did change the oil and filter, BTW.

when you poured it in the oil you should have changed it afterwords that's why you see the smoke come out. i reamand just putting in the tank and before you do the next oil change put some in and then change the oil. try resetting the computer take neg cable off for about 15 mins. then hook it back up and see if check engine lite comes on?

I did change the oil at the end of my trip when I got the car home. I still didn't notice any smoke, or change in this revving issue in the past day or so as I have been driving since. I don't see a need of resetting by taking the battery cable off, there are no codes or no check engine light that comes on....

Just an update.....
Since I didn't get much from the forum, I asked around to whomever would give their two cents and got some info. I was told that doing this may have uncovered a vacuum leak. I will be picking up some starting fluid and testing this theory out this coming Labor Day weekend. Since I haven't had this problem before, it may be a hit or miss with your's truly!

Normally a pic is worth a thousand words but I don't know about this one. What are the circumstances?

IMO nothing wrong with running the proper amount of Seafoam engine treatment directly into the engine's crankcase for a limited duration and the oil and filter are timely replaced afterwards. I've done it with no problems especially after a UIM or LIM gasket job where there is residual anti-freeze in the crankcase.

I don't know what the pic was all about, but I wanted to give everyone another and hopefully my last update on this issue.
After replacing some old and weathered vacuum tubing and spraying some throttle body cleaner in through it's screen, later that day, the engine light came on. I was so tired of it by this point and decided to shell out the money for a diagnostic.
They did the full battery of testing on the engine and actually found nothing wrong with it at all. I asked of the issue at hand, of course, and the mechanic said that this is what it is supposed to sound like. So the motor doesn't burn up and redline while idle in case somebody decided to floor the accelerator, that is what it is supposed to sound like. So what it used to do was bad? He just said that the seafoam may have caused it to do what it was supposed to all along when I put it into my car. The light coming on was a residual bit of gunk maybe trapped trying to get out and caused a hiccup of sorts to make the light go on. Every test was done and it was all good.

Obviously, you were hitting the rev limiter which is set @ 4500 rpm while not in gear! (Not a good idea anyway) Next time you ingest Seafoam through a vacuum line into the INTAKE, remove one of the small vacuum lines & use a longer hose of the same size with an orifice inserted in the end of the hose on the suction side, (an old Holley carb jet works fine) then put that end of the hose in the can of Seafoam. The brake booster hose is entirely too large!

BTW, If I understand your quote above correctly, (taken from your first post) I don't know what the pics were all about either, especially since you only poured 1/3 can in the gas tank, 1/3 can in the vacuum line & 1/3 can in the crankcase.
