Revell wrx sti

Hello everyone,
Here is a revell wrx sti i recently finished, nothing too fancy, ashomia avs model 5 rims, kit supplied gt wing, custom turbo and aluminum intake/intercooler pipeing, and a scratch built aluminum muffler. Paint is duplicolor automotive paint airbrushed and ppg urethane clear. Sorry for the poor pictures im working with an old camera phone for now. thank you for looking.

Please feel free to comment (On what you can make out in the poor pictures anyway)

Re: Revell wrx sti

The detials are pretty decent, fitment on the other hand was horrible, the winows come as one solid part and do not fit in the body shell at all and the from bumper does not match up with the fender opening i had to use styrene strips to add length to the bumper and fill. Maybe it was just my kit but i would not pick this kit up unless your ready for some work, i have a few more of these and next time i will be cutting the windows into separate parts for sure. If you look in the second picture you can see a little of what im talking about in the rear passenger window.

Re: Revell wrx sti

So it sounds like its a no go. Im looking for some nice import to build. Skyline, STI, EVO, etc etc... Im having a hard time finding a skyline kit with a motor. I think Tamiya only had a motor in the R32.... I cant seem to find those.

Hearing what you had to do to the car, It looks great. The color is nice.

The Tamiya Calsonic/HKS/etc. R32 race kits all had the RB26 in it. Either that or you can always buy Gio's RB26 engine kit. I've got 2 but I haven't gotten the time lately to assemble them. MUCH, MUCH better in quality of course.
