Talking Delta 88 Rear main seal

Can this be replaced in car? I was told it's a rope type seal and the upper part is tough to get out without pulling the engine. Will chinese fingers work? It's an 83 with a 307. Thanks.

Re: Delta 88 Rear main seal

Watch the rear of the intake leaking on these, if it is the rear main you must loosen the mains to lower the crank slightly.
