windstar 2002 fan dropping ressistor
I'm would like to know if someone could tell me if & where is the drop down ressistor on my 2002 windstar or if it's called something else!
I did read alot about it for the 96, 97... models but i did not find anything on the 2002. My problem is that (like mentionnes in the other post) when idle or at low speed (traffic) it overheats, highway no problem! I'm going to take a look tomorow and see if there is a resistor! Thank you for your help!! |

Re: windstar 2002 fan dropping ressistor
I don't know for certain where to find it on the 2002, but for the '96 it's located on the passenger side, in the front, under the headlamp assembly. It can be seen (barely) by looking down the space between the lights.
It may help to know that the Ford parts diagrams indicate that it should be on the opposite side of the engine compartment, and this is the same location indicated for the '02 parts diagrams (right front). |
