i want to do the ohms test on my injectors.
do i have to take off the tophalf of the manifold to do that?????

Yes, how else can you get to the connectors.

you dont have to remove anything

the injector plugs are out in the open

unplug and plug back in each one while engine is running to check for bad one

a bad one will make no change in how it runs

no other real way for a home wrencher to check injectors unless you can do an ohms test if you have an ohmmeter and know the correct specs

but even then it doesnt mean they arent plugged or damaged in another way


pull some injectors from a spare engine and try them

i replace injectors commonly they go bad especially the last two number 5 and 6

The resistance test should be made at the injector connector, what you suggest is good for injector to injector comparo only. But it does save extra work.

There is a main connector that you can check from without having to remove the intake or fiddle around under the cramped intake. I'll have to look at a wiring diagram to get the wires to test.
