Radio display is blinking.

Hello everyone.

I have a 1995 Lincoln Town Car, with what I guess is an electrical problem. It seems that the radio console itself has completely stopped working, with the display of the radio station or such is blinking on & off erratically. The radio stations can still be changed with the steering wheel controls, & of course, the radio is still working. Would like to know a specific cause of this & the steps I need to take to fix this.

The console is the original one for the model--a tape player & such. Just thought I'd add that.
