02 2.2 cavelier turbo question

i am buying a turbo kit soon, i think it comes with everything that i need to hook it up to the car can i use stock injectors and compensate with a fule pressure regulator?however i am running a stock fuel pump, any opinions?would it be safe running it with a stock ecu or should i have it tuned?if i have to get it tuned is there somewhere i have to send it or get a handheld tuner, and where?if i have to get it tuned is it safe to run my car on the lowest boost setting?
thank you

What engine does that have? OHV or DOHC? I think '02 had both depending on build date. I'd say no to the stock injectors. Stock on the Ecotec is 26# (don't quote me on that) and mine are 42# and I have seen them go as high as 98% duty cycle in HPT scanner. I don't think you'll get 40% more flow with fuel pressure alone.

Stock fuel pump is just fine. You may loose a pound or two of pressure at WOT (I've never checked mine) , but that would be compensated for when you tune it, which brings us to your next question, you must tune it. I have HPTuners which is very good. There's at least one other, but HPT is what everyone seemed to reccomend when I was asking about boost a few months ago. www.hptuners.com There are no places that you can send your PCM to have it reflashed, your tune will be specific to your car which means whoever tunes it needs access to your car. I have heard of a place that "tunes" it by looking at your LTFT numbers and guessing at what the fuel tables should look like. I could write pages about why not to do that, but won't, just don't do it

If you have someone else tune it, keep the wastegate open while you drive it there. I'm not at all familiar with turbos, but it should be fairly easy to do. If you tune it yourself, I can give you a bit more help, just let me know what you decide.
