schrader valve

i was working on my friends 89 sub. we replaced the a/c compressor and charged the sustem. when i removed my gauges the high side schrader valve started leaking. i used a screwdriver to tap it to get it to seat, but then it started pouring out. i tried several times to reseat it but with no luck. i tried to pull the old one out and replace it, but it broke and only the top part came out with the spring and rod. i could not get the rest of it out and i've tried everything i can think of. ideas would be very helpful

on the low side inject nitrogen gas..this will with a regulator on a bottle will generate pressure to blow off the stuck rubber seat..also nitrogen will purge the system of air[oxygen] ....then when its back together put the vacuum pump on it ....

also with 200psi of nitrogen in the system after you repair ...valve leak test use SOAPY WATER / ETC........
