i have a 96 buick lesabre that was turning off when i slowed down, are came to a stop are turned a corner. i replaced the fuel pump. the pressure before changing it was 46. should between 48 and 55. still had the same problem. the problem was my fuel pressure sensor.gas was coming up through the tube that air was suppose to go down. now i have gas in my transsmisson. the car is running just fine now. got to get that out.

You transmission has a well... pan just like the bottom of your engine. You'll notice it because it says 4T60 or which ever transmission your car has. I would reccommend dropping the pan and draining out all of the fluid. Also while you have your transmission pan down, change the transmission filter. Then put the pan back up and refill with fluid. Wait for some other people to give your their 2 cents before you go ahead and do this though, there might be other methods of draining the transmission. And you might also have gas in the torque converter.

Could you provide a picture showing the location of the "fuel pressure sensor" and the "tube that air was suppose to go down"? Never heard of "gas in a transmission"!
