Re: brake light activation sensor
Not sure about your car but on my car the power needs to be on for the brake lights to work.

Re: brake light activation sensor
On my car if one light is out the other light will not work. I, found that out by going to a independent auto parts store and bought a repalcement switch to find out when we checked the bulps that one was blowed and when we replaced it both lights worked. The light switch for my car is on the rigth side by the rear wheel. It is an inline switch that works off of the presure in the line.

Re: brake light activation sensor
I was having this same issue at CMP last year, removed my sensor and took it to NAPA, silly me forgot to save the box or part number, but we matched up with a similar pressure switch and all has worked flawlessly ever since.

Re: brake light activation sensor
any generic pressure brake sensor/switch will work, but here is one that is a direct fit...
