91 CRX Si Rear Discs on 91 Hatch........
I just got the deal of a lifetime... an entire rear disc conversion kit for $50 :P :P :P
I was just wondering if the factory civic brake lines will work? I know i have to get the ebrake cable from a 90-93 teg as the CRX one is too short, but what about the brake cables? can i use my factory civic ones?? I know plenty of you have done this swap, so help a brotha out. btw, I passed up another deal, I was going to get the rear disc conversion AND 2 IMMACULATE CRX SI SEATS....all for the low price of $125. then i found out that the crx seats didnt bolt in to my car so i passed it up. :S Thinking i might go ahead and buy them and sell them on ebay for lots more

You need 90-93 Integra Coupe brake cables.

CRX is too short. when the rear disc was put on the si the parts came off the 90 integra we had. *yes that teg ended up being a special limited edition with rear drums*
since all there was to work with were the 2 cars parts the teg kept it's e-brake cabel and the si the same. expect the crx cable to be too short. if you can get your hands on the teg cable, to it to it. if not, i know you can make yours work. you're handy dandy with the mechanical skills word of advice! get some corks for the brakelines. we forgot. some quick thinking i covered the lines with clingy plastic wrap (folded it many time to make it thick) and put a rubber band around it. it worked....but corks would be much more easy

are you meaning brake cables as in the ebrake cable or the brake lines as in the lines that the brake fluid travels through??
If i can get away with using the civic stuff i will and i'll probalby put them on today or tomorrow, but if i need new brakes lines it will have to wait.. |

"for whatever reason i can't get on AF.....been trying for 3-4 hrs . i need to take back what i said earlier. when the brake conversion was done i had a broken foot. the only part i touched was the stupid break lines leaking. i doubled checked with jer. I WAS WRONG. apparently the teg has the si e-brake cable and vice versa. so YOU WILL NEED TEG E-BRAKE. i greatly apologize for the misunderstanding. i wanted to be sure that was cleared up A.S.A.P."

ok here is the deal:
E-BRAKE for a CIVIC HB - 90-93 2door e-brake cables for a CRX - u will need CRX SI (90-91) cables for a 4d- u will need 90-93 teg 4d cables Brake line For a CIVIC HB- CRX Si (90-91) brake lines OR 90-93 teg for a Crx- SAME For a 4d- SAME side note- some places will not sell you used brake lines do to the risk of having them break on you and u sueing them so u might want to invest in some goodwrench stainless steel braided brake lines they are VERY high quality and they are worth EVERY penny and they last way longer than stupid ruber ones make sure u get the lower LCA arm for the rear sway bar and pick up the rear sway bar while ur at it. it makes a HUGE difference

Hmmm..so when I want to do the 90-93 Teg rear disc swap onto my sedan, I'll need the e-brake cable from an Integra sedan???
![]() That sucks..I have a 91 Integra coupe at the junkyard, just begging me to pull off its rear discs..I won't bother with the cable

I guess ima have to ride no ebrake for a while because all i have is the CRX Si ebrake cables and my hatch cables.

hey does the 90-91 civic hb si have rear disk breaks?? sorry but this one slipped my mind when i was reading up on air voulume vs. air mass. Thx Late
