Ok, So I've got a 2000 SC2 and the horn has not been working on it for some time now. I've tested the horn straight to the battery and it works fine. I've checked the fuses, all fine. And I had the bright idea to try switching the horn relay with the fog light relay since they're the same, and bingo, it starts working.... but only for about a day, then its back to not working again, And i know it's a good relay (at least the one from the fog lights) cuz i put it back where it was b4 i tried that and my fog lights are still working. I just don't know what else to try. whenever i press the horn all i get is a clicking sound coming from the relay box. It worries me driving without a damn horn, you deffinatly need one with all the idiot drivers around here. Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated. Thank You

Re: Horn not working!!??
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.5 square miles, of which, 1.4 square miles of it is land and 0.04 square miles of it is water.
Are you sure you really need a horn in Sheridan?

Re: Horn not working!!??
Sounds like there may be contack issues in the fuse block. Check the terminals for corrosion or see if they look burnt. You may have to pull the fuse block and pull it apart to take a look at the connections on the other side.

Re: Horn not working!!??
Try checking for voltage at the horn connector. If you have 12v, check the contacts. It may have an internal, intermittent short.
You should be able to pick up a used horn for under $10 at a salvage yard, grab a relay too. Any ’91 to ’02 horn has the same part number but may have either single or dual horn.

Re: Horn not working!!??
Could also be a bad clock spring. It's under the steering wheel and is the way they electrically connect the rotating wheel to the stationary column. If you have an air bag, be sure to disconnect the battery and wait a few minutes to start fiddling around.

Re: Horn not working!!??
Thanks 4 the suggestions. I got it working. I ended up taking apart the relay box and sprayed some electrical contact cleaner on there, tho i didn't see anything odd on it. Then I put the fog light relay back in there and its been working ever since. Still not sure what the problem was in the first place, but alls good now
