Re: '05' Cobalt Power Steering

Prolly couldn't find a power steering pump either right? Nah.. don't sweat it. Cobalts don't have hydraulic power steering. They use GM's electric "Power assist steering". Look/feel up under the dash below the steering column. The motor/gearbox/controls for the system is there under the dash. Basically it powers a grease filled steering rack just like you'd find back in the day you could buy an econo car without power steering. It's a nice maintenance free system and makes a real simple belt routing on the engine w/out an PS pump. Like anything, it's great 'till it breaks.
