hey, just posting this topic to see if anyone here owns a modified eclipse of any generation.. just post your thoughts in general..

i used to own a 1998 eclipse gsx, silver with charcoal interior, 5 speed.. here were the mods i had done to it..

engine-
mostly stock internals
ARP head studs
copper head gasket
greddy intake
stock tranny
clutchmasters stage 2 clutch ( goot for ~450hp)

turbo-
mitshbishi 18g ( actually a 16g/ 20g hybrid )
ported exhaust manifold
3" downpipe

exhaust-
3" thermal research and development cat back
3"in/3"out high flow cat

suspension-
gab front adjustable gas shocks
koni rear adjustable shocks
extreme technologies front and rear strut bars
eibach 1" drop springs
energy suspension bushings

fuel system
550 cc injectors, otherwise stock

electronics
hks EVC electronic boost controller ( 14 psi street 20+ psi race )
hks turbo timer

there were other mods too, but that about does it for the performance mods.. the car would have been a lot faster with an upgraded fuel pump and a fuel computer .. but i never got around to getting those, i had to get rid of the car before i could complete the mods ( had a bad driving record at the time, insurance was killing me )..anyway, the best 1/4 mile run i made was a 12:88@107mph.. could have been a low 12 with better tuning and the upgraded fuel system..

so, tell me about your cars/cars even if its not an eclipse i guess..

You had 550's w/o a fuel computer? Please tell me the name of the shop that helped with your car so I can make sure no one else ever goes there again.
