'98 crown vic valve cover help

ok, so i have a '98 4.6L crown vic. I attempted to remove the passenger side valve cover but am now stuck. All the bolts are out and there is not enough clearence for the cover to come off. The corner of the cover keeps getting stuck by this black box thing that the ac condenser plugs into. Can someone please help me by letting me know how to remove this cover?

Try removing the entire wiper module. This will gain you a little more access and the cover should lift straight up.

Re: '98 crown vic valve cover help

I ran into the same problem and here is what I did.

1. You have to make sure that ALL the wiring is out of the way.
2. Unplug the injectors (don't know if it helped or not, but it's easy enough to do)
3. Take the cover and rotate the bottom upward and rock it back and forth (front to back of the engine and up and down)
4. Make sure once the cover starts to come up you put more pressure towards teh back of the cover.

After I did that for a minute I was able to make it over the cam shaft bracket and pull the cover out towards the front of the car. I know this is a little late, but for everyone else I hope it helps.
