Hi there, I have a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix, with a broken inner door handle. I was wondering how do I replace it, without replacing the entire door. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Re: 1990 SE Broken Inner Door handle
Replace the handle or piece(s) that are broken.
Do you know or have you ever removed the door panel? Got a junkyard near by?

I have taken off the door panel, however where the handle hinges, appears to be held in place by a rivet hinge. I was wondering if there was a special tool needed to remove the hinge, or will I need to replace the rivet pin? also the anchor for the handle is held in place by rivets to the door frame. Was hoping that the pin was only a pin, and not a rivet. Yeah, I have access to a pick your own part junk yard, but the same thing is awating me to remove that one as well. Anyways, thanks for your response.

Re: 1990 SE Broken Inner Door handle
Drill the rivets off and replace with nuts/bolts.
First time in 16 years of owning these cars that I've heard the inside lever breaking!
