1996 4.6 L no start problem finally solved
Hi guys. I fixed something today, for a change. Any one ever heard of this happening? It was the last thing I checked, damn.
The no start problem was that four of the rocker arms had jumped off on that left bank. It was sort of a timing issue, the chain is fine no problems there. Didn't appear to be any damage to anything, inside there I have no idea why they might have jumped off. I suppose it is possible that four of the lifters collapsed, from car sitting for so long. Now on to the tune up problems, from the car sitting for so long with this problem. http://cmasalvage.com/cvp1.jpg http://cmasalvage.com/cvp2.jpg http://cmasalvage.com/cvp3.jpg

Good Job Mike, are you ready for a DOHC, see
www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=970854 There's a tool being used to sandwich both cams, you don't want to lose the cam to cam timing. Last edited by danielsatur; 11-21-2009 at 09:45 AM. |
