03 monte carlo died no start

Hello, I have a 03 mc ss 3.8 it died at a light and now it won't crank I noticed i have no check engine light with key on and when i go to crank all lights in dash go out like dead battery but batt is good I think its the ignition switch but just dont know please help thanks, Lar

Disconnect the battery terminals negative first then positive. They often have corrosion behind them that will cause your problem
