1999 Isuzu Rodeo, bad knocking noise

Hey,
I have had this '99 isuzu rodeo for about a year now, and all of a sudden the engine just makes this horrible knocking noise from inside the engine. We took it to a shop, and they said it was within the engine, but i've read some stuff saying it could possibly be something else....I just want a second opinion before i go out and buy a whole new car....or buy a new engine...thanks for your help. I added a video i recorded today of the sound when the car is running.

Your thinking it could be the timing belt tensioner. That would be on the front of the engine towards the right side. (right side from drivers perspective).

yup, sounds like the timing belt tensor.

If you ran it low on oil it could be a spun bearing ($$$).

I can hear a couple different knocking sounds. One sounds like the tensioner but the other sounds like a rod knock.

Please let us know what you found wrong with it or what you need to replace to fix it. I have the same truck as yours but lesser noise. I have a friend replaced my timing belt when it was about 98K now it's about 140K. Thanks.
