d16z6 od d16y8 head???

which head is better flowing and is either head easier to swap out than the other.
i have a 93 hatch cx (slow a#@ 8 valve)
look for a little boost in power
i have a chance to buy either head complete with intake, dist., and ecu
kinda new to the hondas so any info will be appreciated!

I hear the Y8 head is better flowing than the Z6 head. There's LOTS of posts and threads on this same question at this website , just do a search for it. Dunno if head options are limited for the 8V CX motors though, since these other heads are based off 16V motors.

off the top of my head the Y8 will give you higher compression...not sure if its the design or the use of the Y8 head gasket (thinnest for Ds). the Z6 can also be ported out a lot more than the Y8.
