New Bettle Clock Spring Replacement
Have a 2003 New Bettle that both driver and passenger air bags have
been deployed as well as clock spring has be activated. I do not have replacement air bags yet but do have a new clock spring. Can anyone tell me if I can safely install the new clock spring and later when I get the air bags install them? Steering wheel is off to remove old clock spring and I would like to be able to install new without having to take apart again. THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT! |

Re: New Bettle Clock Spring Replacement
Go ahead and install the clock spring now. It is just the wiring for the horn and the driver's airbag, so replacing it without having an airbag will not cause any problems. You need to install it first before the airbag anyway.
