06 chevy malibu fan speed control
hello every my problem is that the fan speed selector only operates on 3 and 4, settings 1 and 2 do not work. can any 1 tell me what to check i have a ohm meter i just have no idea what to check first and also my 02 silverado doesnt work on setting 1 they both started acting up around the same time. thanx

Check the blower motor resistor, usually under the hood in the heater box near the blower motor.
