99% completed, Canon Porsche 956 , Le Mans 1985

I still have to finish some minor details and fix some little damages but I wanna give you a sneak peak.

I never found a single picture of this car on the net except for the ones on the tamiya website.

I'm happy to show you this and WAY MORE pictures will come when it's 100% finished.

EDIT: that was Le Mans 1985, not 95 like the topic said

Thats is a very nice build , but in my opinion that car is the ugliest thing in the world ! you did a good job but the car itself is ugly!

Since that kit is very cheap I was thinking about building a second one, only one that as less decals. Everything red on the body is decal and it was a chore to place properly. I'm happy I did not mess it up.

I was thinking about this one, I saw it on this forum and it looks really nice :

It would nicely complement the Canon 956.

But I'm stopping the kits with crazy decals for now, I'm simply not enjoying it right now and it takes me forever to finish the job. My next Le Mans car will most probably by the Mercedes C9, Toyota 88CV or GT-one, all three car looks awesome and they don't have crazy decals.

I also have to start my A110, but I'm still unsure about the color.

Indeed a very nice clean build!

If you want, you can do somewhere like "35" Porsches of the 956 and 962 type. I think Studio 27 has done them all.

I am a fan of these cars and your 956 looks fabulous, very, very nice indeed. Despite you dislike for decals you seem to have done a vey good job with them. Panel lines look good too, understated and realistic. Looking forward to seeing more when you finish.

That Kenwood 956 was very nicely done, only thing missing were the signatures of Schuppan and Jarier, he'd already got Jonesie.
