checking for codes

Gentlemen:

New to the dodge world with a 2000 dodge 1500 4x4...can you still access codes with the blinking "check engine light" method? In other words, can i check for codes without a code reader by activating the computer? if so, how? Thanks

Northstar

Re: checking for codes

I'm really not sure but most dodges I have had if you turn the key on, back off, then on, back off, then on again and leave it then the check engine light blinks the codes.

Re: checking for codes

I checked my Mitchell1 software and did not see any procedure for being able to pull codes on this without using a scanner.

Best just to get it scanned for free somewhere like Autozone.
