2002 Tracker Door on back of vehicle will not open.

2002 Tracker door on the back of the vehicle will not open. It feels like the handle is disconnected. How can I take it apart to examine it?

Re: 2002 Tracker Door on back of vehicle will not open.

Climbing in the back and removing the inner door panel should gain you access and insight to what broke or is rusted. It's a pain to climb in, but don't know of another way to get at a door that wont open. Prying on the exterior, will only get you damaging the body. Pull that inside door skin off and I'm sure you'll find a broken linkage or unattached part, frozen/rusted part. You'll have it fixed in no time.
