power is very low..............

i have a 94 s10 blazer with 4.3L cpi.. i had a silerado with the same motor in it and it was very powerful.. however, this blazer don't have any power have to kick it down to get it up a small hill , and the take off in this thing is crazy slow.. but when i get on it and it starts to change into second there is a loud roar comeing for what sounds like the torque convertor .. the ppl i got it from had the tranny rebuilt last summer and the tranny is very strong but now power can some pls help me figure this out...

ps.. it also is hard to start after setting for a couple hours have to flip the key on and off and pump the gas twice then it fires right up .. thanks in advance..thanks

For starters, pumping the gas is not going to do anything since the injectors will only pulse when the PCM tells them to and the engine is running.

Second, when is the last time you checked out the tune up parts?

third, Check your fuel pressure. I am not sure what the specs should be on your motor, but I am sure you'll find the specs using Google.

Key on, engine off and cold, fuel pump running, pressure must be 55psi to 61psi.

After the pump shuts off, pressure must remain above 50psi for 3 to 5 minutes.
