Transmission removal question
Please help, I may be an idiot, but I cannot get to the top two bolts that hold the trans to the engine, or the top bolt on the side of the driver. There just isn't enough room between the body and the transmission. I have gotten the transfer case out, and the crossmember for the trans support, but the tail end of the tranny won't drop down to access the bolts. Do I need to do something with the engine mounts? HELP PLEASE!

Re: Transmission removal question
You will have to take a very long extension, 3 feet or more, may can piece some together, and use a knuckle(swivel) on the end to hook to your socket.

Re: Transmission removal question
If you jack the trans all the way up against the body you can get at the one from the top.
