Unhappy power for my baby

people i just bought a 92 cx hatchback.. i know i know.. please stop laughing..
i wanna drop a motor which is the easiest and least costly for me to drop in.. and when i drop it will i need the tranny and what about the wiring..PLEASE HELP.. i'm getting :monkeypis on by EVERYTHING on the highway!!!

get a b16a sir2 complete changeover. you can find it for $2200-$2500. a good place to get it from is www.hmotorsonline.com they have it for $2350. if i was you i will get the optional lsd for $300 more(its worth it). the complete changeover comes with everything you need. all you got to do is take out the old motor drop the new one in, plug it all up, connect all the lines, hoses, etc... then after that all you gotta do is run the knock sensor wire and you should be all set and no you don't have to run the vtec wires cause the vx is prewired for it.

I'm going to second the B16 route. It's a very powerful engine with a lot of potential and it can be found at a nice price. It's also an easy one to get into that car.

I agree the b16 is a great motor but if you want some more umpf i would say a GSR motor would be great too it'll cost you more though allways a downside

I have a CX with B16a with the LSD trans, I'm very happy with it, just be careful where you buy it from don't go to StreetImports!!!! I got mine from them and I wasn't happy at all with there customer service. Anyway the B16a is a really strong engine make sure you get the SIR2 engine though. Let us know what it looks like when your done

Hell no Get a D16z6 swap. With a CX body and I/H/E and cam sprocket and a few bolt-ons you could get it into a mid 14 easy.

i had a b16 in my hatch but opted t go with the h22, and i love it. a pain to install but crazy power. do the b16 youll like it
