Does anyone know how to set timing?

I have a 1996 ford probe 2.0 with a auto trany. I am trying to figure out how to set the timing. I know how to on my mustang, but this is half the car. I can see the timing marks, and i am assuming cylinder number on is the one on the left. is there a timing advance plug that needs to be removed? what is the timming supposed to be at? thanks for the help.
