I have a 1992 NX1600 which I have had since 1999. I live in Toronto and encounter lots of snow in the winter. ABS has NEVER kicked in since I have owned the vehicle. My brakeline went and the guy who is fixing the car went to a Nissan dealership to see if they had parts. They told him that my car has ABS. Does anyone know if the NX1600 has ABS? If it does, why doesn't it work? Apparently the thickness of the brakeline is dependent on whether or not it has ABS. Also, if it does, the part could take a while to get here from Japan (if they even have them any more)!
By the way. I have enjoyed driving my car for the last 10 years but one of my main complaints is that it is way too low to the ground. I have gotten stuck in the snow in the past and I can tell you that it is not a fun experience.
