Re: 2003 alero horn issue
Welcome to AF.
It sounds like you may have a short in the clock spring assembly or a bad horn button. To replace the clock spring the steering wheel will need to be pulled with a special tool but I would troubleshoot it more thoroughly first. The horn signal then goes to the multifunction switch from the clock spring.

Re: 2003 alero horn issue
I have heard of the material shrinking on the steering wheel at night from cooling off and setting off a horn for hours, then going back to normal, I think the initial cooling/shrinkage makes the horn go off for a while until the material has some more stretching after cooling. Is the horn sensitive to begin with? Was there some other wiring modifications done with sterio, alarm, anti theft device etc....? Maybe something is shorting through the horn.
