Looks like a cheap eBay BOV. What mods do you have? You better recirculate that.

Re: What Blow Off Valve is this

Like I said I just bought this a week ago, but I have seen some BOVs like that why does this one need to be recirc?? and why wrap the strut bar??? when I unhooked the battery I hit my wrench, while on the positive terminal, on the strut bar and no spark.. I think it is carbon fiber wrapped.

Re: What Blow Off Valve is this

Our BOV's came recirculated for a reason, and unless you are taking measures to accommodate it, your car isn't running right. Most people do it for dA mAd TyTe WOOOOOSSHHH!!!11! but it pretty much immediately identifies you as a ricer. Just do it.

The strut bar, like your BOV, is probably from eBay and made as cheaply as possible which means its probably just a nice glossy sticker on a bent piece of shit. A product that needed to be covered in fake CF to sell probably wasn't developed and probably wont do you much good, and probably wasn't put on by anyone that has a half ass idea what they are doing. Don't even bother wasting money on heat resistant wrap on that thing, just take it off.

I bought one of those duck call whistles and going to make an adapter for mine so I can make bird calls while driving......

If only they made a cow call. VrrrroooooooooooOOOOOMM MOO! Vrrrooooom... That shit right there!

Anyways, to expand on Thors post, your cars' ECU is putting into consideration the amount of air being blown back into the intake. Unless you are taking measures to accommodate for that, car isn't running top notch. So you NEED to recirculate unless you do what you need to in order to vent.

I do have to disagree about the strut bar though. It's clearly an eBay "CF" special. However, I have a 3-piece set from eBay and they have worked great since I got it (almost 4 years now). However, that sticker can wear down or melt off the strut bar, exposing the metal. And with that other wire (sub?), that comes even closer, that would be the first to touch.

Yeah, I'm using a no-name STB and have a rear coming in the mail now. The engineering behind them isn't complex, really. Rigidity and mounting points.

The battery thing does worry me.

Exactly. As long as they're sturdy and have no give they do their job. When my boy was in his accident in his MX6 he had a strut bar in rear and we all think that saved his life. Gas tank was right below it but STB kept everything bent out. I'll try to find a pic.
