Swap 305 to 350 for a '93 Chevy Silverado 4x4
Hey guys I'm back. I really want to drop a 350 in my '93. Now if you have the complete engine, intake, tb, etc, you should only need to change out the ecm and the fuel pump right? Oh, and its a manual. Just want to make sure before I go through with it. Thanks.

Re: Swap 305 to 350 for a '93 Chevy Silverado 4x4
ECM is the same, it is the PROM that is different between the 305 and 350. Since you have a manual, you need to find a 350 PROM for manual.
Fuel pump should be the same for both engines. //2000CAYukon |

Re: Swap 305 to 350 for a '93 Chevy Silverado 4x4
I had a 94 silverado z71. had the motor replaced with a gm factory crate motor. The problem is, is that 350 motor is still a dog. No true power. the 96 had the vortec and was a huge difference if hh that was truly felt at the wheels. I would not waste my time or money replacing a stock 305 with a stock 350 from the 92-94 years. Now for some added power, if you could put in a vortec 350 from a 96 or newer, then that would be a big difference. Just my 2 cents. I would hate for you to put that time and money into a project and be disappointed.
