Cool Tahoe power window problem

Recently the power window motor in my 2001 tahoe went and so I ordered a new one. Now when I went to put the new motor in I unpluged the old motor and had noticed that water had came out of the plug so before I pluged in the new motor i had dried everything and now with the new motor there is no power on the passenger side switch or the driverside switch for the passenger window. So i checked the 25 amp circuit breaker in the fuse block but my repair manual says there is a body relay block but i don`t know were it is> So i was hoping someone might be able to help me out here.

check all fuses [meter]...if the window on one side does not work it is the switch....make sure you have the correct size fuses install as well...make sure with meter the the switch has power to it....and the connector pins are good...was this vehicle a flood salvage ?

Re: Tahoe power window problem

No it wasn`t a flood salvage. this is the second time i had to replace this window motor and it was fine after the first time so i don`t know how in the hell water got in the plug but after i put the motor in i let the plug sit for one more day which was today and plug it in this morning and the window is fine so i must not have dried it completely or something but thanks anyway dude. also al the other plugs for the heated seats, speakers and the light on the door where fine no water in them so i don`t know how just that one plug got water in it but its all good now.

since this was not a flood vehicle the water entering the door
cavity must be `investigated for defective weather striping..the use of a silicone spray on the window guide and exterior weather stip will help..

I have found over time the weather strip does shrink slightly..by using a black flexible sealer like dow 745 you can improve the water intrusion.....this should help to also reduce any rust issues at the door bottom edge..
