99 tahoe fuel pumps... yes pumps

99 tahoe 170 000 miles owned since 2004. Never had any real issues until now. My tahoe died again today, fuel pump again. My third in 2 years. Always have at least 1/4 tank, replaced filter, no debris in tank. Ever since I bought it i noticed the fuel pump was very loud. That one lasted 3 yrs. Next one lasted 1 year now 6 months. Something is killing my pump and cannot figure it out. Any insight??

Have you replaced the wiring connector at the fuel pump?

Check and clean the ground for the pump.

since this vehicle has 170,ooomi replace the fuel pump relay as well as the as mentioned ground point next to the fuel tank fill pipe...

if the voltage supplied to pump is surging and of insufficent amplitude the commutator will get pitted and then an early failure...

also any connection to the fuel pump/tank connectors etc...
