would they fit?

hey im new to this fourm i just picked up my first car a 2003 cavaliear 2 door 100% stock and im planing on getting a new little thing for it.
my question is would 17'' low profile tires fit good with out any rubbing or any ajusting im asking this becasue the tire is about 2" wider then the stock ones.

What particular tire size are you talking?

17" diameter rims will fit easily and you can go as wide as 225mm on tire width.

^^ Yup....

18x8 or 18x7.5" wheels --> 225/40-18
17x8 or 17x7.5" wheels---> 225/45-17 or 215/45-17 if you had 14" stock steel rims. 15"steel wheels and alloys need the 225 series.

so your saying if my stock tires are 14'' i well need a 215 or if my stock tire is a 15'' i well need a 225?

14" -->215
15 and 16"--> 225

NO... Circled in red below are the sizes you want to run. Look for the stock tire size that your car has, and then go from there.

Stock Tire Size: 195/70/14


Stock Tire Size: 195/65/15


Stock Tire Size: 205/55/16
