*07 Camery* How do you like it.
Went to my usual Honda dealer and checked out the element and an accord. My wife dosent like the element and the accord was very blah, so the salesman pulled up a sharp looking Camery. I have never owned a Toyota, so I am wondering what you guys think about it. I put over 20k miles on my car right now, will a Toyota handle it or what, A AUDI CAN'T!

Despite the slight drop in reliability of Toyotas in the last year or so (thanks to their stunning increase in production), I think you'll be very happy with your new Cam. Keep up the maintenance schedule and you'll enjoy hundreds of thousands of miles. Congrats!

Re: *07 Camery* How do you like it.
Ditto. Generally, you can't go wrong buying a Camry.
This may or may not apply to your particular car depending on the date of manufacture. The problem area for the 07 has been the transmission. There have been complaints about harsh/jerky shifting. Problems have been fixed under warranty mainly by reprogramming the transmission control module. Other problems required changing the torque converter and/or solenoid valves with updated versions. There was a safety recall for the airbag system. As Mike stated below before I could make my usual 3rd/4th edit , most of these problems were with the 6 speed tranny but, some apply to the 5 speed (U250E) mated to the 2AZ-FE 4 cyl engine as well.

Re: *07 Camery* How do you like it.
I own an 07 Camry XLE and am now very happy with it. It did have a few problems when it was new. These have been fixed when TSB's (technical service bulletins) came out for each of these problems. Just make sure the car has had the latest TSB reflash of the ECU that came out in May of 08 to eliminate hesitation and engine shudder at 35-45 MPH, and also the TSB to eliminate the dash rattles in cold weather. Ask the dealer if these were performed. If not, ask them to perform them before you take delivery of the car. The major problems with the 07 and 08 Camrys were problems with the new 6 speed automatic that was mated to the V6 engine. This will not be a problem with your 4 cyclinder, which has a different 5 speed automatic.
