Crazy wipers

The wipers on my SE have been going crazy for the last few days...its almost like they have a mind of their own. they will just randomly turn on by theirselves. it seems like everytime i stop at a light or a stop sign and hit the gas...they start to go. and it will be like they are on high speed then they will just stop. sometimes they will even stop in the middle and go crazy like they dont know what to do.

I'm thinking that it prolly needs a wiper motor...but i was wondering if you guys have some sort of insight? maybe i bad ground??

im no pro but that sounds like a wiring problem, like a bad connection or wires touching somewhere. the motor is probably ok if it will still works.
