Messerschmitt kr200 & BMW Isetta 300

I just picked up a new kit from the massive pile

It's a Gunze Sangyo kit and it contains 2 small cars

The BMW Isetta 300 is made of clear plastic, and there are not much parts...

The Messerschmitt kr200 is also made of clear plastic but most of the body is normal plastic

There is also a PE set on this kit that contains a few nice details for both cars.

I also searched for nice colors and found some nice ones in my Sikkens paintbox. It's a waterbased color and I haven't used this paint much, so this is a good chance to get it used.

Re: Messerschmitt kr200 & BMW Isetta 300

Big update on these models:

First I masked of the windows and sanded the bodies. Then I sprayed some Grey Zero primer on them.

Next thing was painting the bodies. I used some Auto Air reducer to thin the Sikkens automotive paint. I really start to love this paint!

Today i clearcoated the bodies. I didn't want to mix some 2K paint, so I used a spraycan with TS-13 instead. Tonight it was dry, and I start to add the BMF and rubberstrips. I also added the PE parts and some other bodyparts.

My camera was stolen by my girlfriend for a few days, so I have no progress pics from the paintingsteps.

Next on the list is start on the chassis and interior.

Kris.

Nice work! How did you do the black rubber trim strips? Is there another product similar to BMF for this?

The black rubber trim strips are included with the kit. I don't know if there is something else for this.
