With this rebuild, I'm replacing the clutch (number 3!) since the motor will be out and I get mad noise from the TOB and mad chatter. Plus I'm sure this thing is probably close to dying since I turboed the bad boy anyways.
So, I want to get a lightweight flywheel and a strong clutch. The one right now is super soft. I can push the clutch pedal down to the floor with 1 finger... when I was in Dustys car, that clutch was stiff as hell. So my question is, where can I get a good lightweight flywheel and clutch that will be basically "plug-n-play"? What's recommended? I don't really know the difference between modular and all that jazz. And then, I'll buy one this week!

Re: Clutch and Flywheel... time to buy!
A modular clutch basically is a flywheel/disc/pressure plate all riveted together and is bolted to a flex plate since the flywheel doesn't have teeth on it. Not sure what you have now but I got away from this setup.
As far as what I would recommend, you have felt my clutch first hand. Fidanza flywheel and zoom stg 2 disc. I would recommend running a kevlar disc at least just because it engages really smooth and holds a lot of power. Also Im using the heavier pressure plate.

Re: Clutch and Flywheel... time to buy!
I'm a little late on this, but I am running an ACT Streetlite flywheel and a ACT 2600 clutch with a sprung 6 puck. It will take a little while to figure out how to drive it without chattering the shit out of it, and the pedal pressure can be annoying in traffic, but all in all I was very happy with my choice. It will hold a tits ton of torque too, I believe it was rated to like 550 ft lbs or something.
