so i was wondering
well i'm not much of a ford guy, not counting the lincoln and all. well i was wondering, between the 4.6 in my town car, the 4.6 in a lsc/mark 8, and the 4.6 in a mustang, what are the differences?
i was thinkin it would be nice to add some horses to the tc, and i've seen a few mark 8 motors and they sure do look like they dress up nice with the conspection covers and all (i like how they look different than the tc's, how they're square). i think i was reading something that the lsc motor is a 32valve ? sorry, i'm a bit ignorant to ford motors, i've only built a couple chevy 350's, a 383, and a 454, nothing too technical there. whats the advantage to 32 valves (i'm guessing it lets the motor breathe better, being theres more vlaves, increasing performance) is the only difference between a mustang motor, a tc, and a mark 8 all in the heads? to add performance (depending on how much/little) is it just a matter of swapping heads ? (assuming all 4.6 blocks are the same) i was interested in doing a couple mods, all the while keeping my good gas mileage (18- 24 city on a good day) . is that possible? -(i doubt it lol) what i had in my head was i could either do a simple head swap, but what vehicle would be best to swap em with, the mustang or the mark? after the swap what would i have to do along the lines of adjusting the computer? after doing any performane mods/ head swaps and the like, whats a way to keep it nice and quiet (stock quiet) and still have it breathin good? at the same time i was kind of thinking "keep it simple" and just pull everything out, re do everything but leave it stock, just get brand new parts so it has that fresh off the assembly line look. any suggestions on this would be helpful as i'm still trying to wrap my mind around a couple things.
