3800 misfire @ idle HELP PLEASE!

I have a 1998 Olds intrigue with a SII 3800 around 110,000 miles, and when at idle it has a slight misfire, and when you give it too much gas (only way to go without noticeable misfire is to baby it up to speed) it jerks a lot and almost sounds like its popping . I have swapped MAF, and TPS and have looked at plugs and wires (they look fairly new). The SES light is on (and blinks sometimes when driving and misfire is bad) the codes are: slight misfire and lean bank 1 (code P1071). I also did not notice any warpage of the intake, and it doesnt leak any coolant. This is my wifes car and I need it to be running better. Any help would be apreciated, thanks in advane, Blake.

you should not drive your car with a blinking SES light, its an indication of a bad misfire or lean condition that will damage your catalytic converter

Sounds like a crankshaft position sensor. I suppose it couldn't hurt to recheck the gap on the plugs or maybe thats what you meant when you looked them over.

Fuel filter? Fuel pump? Maybe it's starving for gas is the misfire? Dirty injectors? Filter and dirty injectors should be easy to remedy.

I will try the filter and some injector cleaner this weekend, and I will pick up a new crankshaft sensor as well maybe a camshaft sensor to, since i think they are both pretty close to each other. And i have to take off the balancer pulley first right?? Like this:

I tried to remove the pulley and was unable to do so. I used a Impact wrench and still did not budge. It is about 20 Degrees out does that matter??? I put it in a heated garage but it was sitting outside for 24+ hours before hand in the freezing cold. Will I have better luck if it was warmer, or perhaps I fi let the engine warm up a bit before trying?? Any one do this before have any insider tips???? HELP PLEASE I need to get this done before Monday hopefully.

Problem fixed it ended up being a fouled plug wire, replaced the plugs and wires with AC delco parts and seems to be doing really well. I will drice it a few more days and hope it works out. Thanks for all the help.
