1981 skylark doggin me

In cold weather I warm up engine for 10 min start driving , and when I give it gas it dogs out, after 20 min of driving it seems to go away. Just bought car used 1981 buick skylark 4cyl. auto with 54000 milrs on it if you can believe that! She don,t like hills either..I needs some hep!
