2002 Windstar. Where is pcm? Anyone do remote starter?

Looking for my pcm to get a tach signal wire, anyone tell me where it is? Also, anyone put a remote starter in one of these? I have PATS and a by pass module, no start though. Remote starter sayes it isnt getting a tach signal, {learning it}

I don't have a remote starter, so I am of no help to you there.
The PCM is located IN the firewall.....on the passenger side.
You access it from the engine compartment.
On the passenger side engine compartment, look at the TOP.....up under the windshield wiper cowl.....kind of behind the top of the strut tower.
There is a BIG wire harness plug there.....into the firewall.
The wire harness is plugging into the PCM.

As to what wire does what.....I only have access to that information for 1996 model year.....so I will leave that part to someone else.

Try this, it is from 12volt.com, I installed a remote start in my 96 and went to the coil pack for the tach signal as is sugjested here for 99 to 02. Mine works fine but I did mot have PATS to deal with.
