O"reillys auto and blower resistor issue

1997 GTP

Went to O'reillys Auto, got the resistor for the blower ($33.99) got home pulled the blower motor and got the resistor out, put the new one in and the connector doesn't match. Went back to O'reillys and they said I need a blower control module ($160.00) Went to Auto Zone, same part, same thing.

The connector I have in the car is a 4 hole with 3 pins, the resistor they sold me had 7 pins. Anybody got a part number for the resistor? The one that O'reillys sold me was part RU867, it fit every way but the connector.

Is your climate control system the ACC digital automatic (CJ2)? If so you do not have a blower motor resistor but a blower motor control module which is solid state based. Dealer only or get a used one from Ed Morad.
